St Michael’s church stands at the heart of this local community. It is Grade 2 listed, and has been a place of worship for over 150 years. We are part of the Church of England in the Diocese of Southwark.
We offer a warm welcome to all who come for worship. Our congregations reflect the diversity of our local community. We offer worship that reflects the needs and preferences of the people of Stockwell Parish within the Church of England.
At present these are the services of Sunday worship:
- 8.00am Holy Communion (a quiet service using more traditional language)
- 10.00am Parish Holy Communion with music.
We welcome children. We are particularly keen to develop opportunities for children. The 2nd Sunday each month has a more informal structure where children take an active part in worship. Other Sundays we offer separate children's activities during the 10.00am service.
We are exploring what may be the way forward for our parish, particularly St Michael's. If you have ideas and suggestions we'd love to hear from you.
The vicar is the Rev’d Naomi Whittle
