Provision of drinks: Last year some people brought their own alcohol to the quiz and curry evening and to the lunch on Sunday; this is not acceptable.  We will have fully licensed bars at all appropriate events and are reliant upon the profits therefrom to raise sufficient funds to support our chosen local charities – so please don’t bring your own.

The purpose of the Festival: Please also resist the temptation to use the festival as an opportunity or an excuse to hold your own car boot or yard sale even if it is for your own chosen charity.  The purpose of those who organise the festival is for our local community to have a good time whilst raising some money for agreed worthy local causes.

    Best Wishes

    Chair of the Festival Committee

The Home & Garden Competition is only weeks away

The Home & Garden competition is only weeks away.  The fruit cake competition is going to be an open competition this year, so ladies of Stockwell, take on your men folk.  The best fruit cakes are those that have had plenty of time to mature.  So please start yours soon to be in with a chance of taking first prize.  The men are hot stuff and will take a lot of beating.

Do have a look at the draft schedule attached and start thinking about your entries and those of your children.  If there is a class you feel you would like to suggest, please get in touch.  I have already had a request for home-made alcohols and for pickles as you will see.
